| 23 January 2012 | Mikala Dwyer is exhibiting in Ireland for the first time. Her work is on show at a multidisciplinary art space called Project Art Space in Dublin. The exhibition Panto Collapsar is a variation on Dwyer’s circular installations. She has placed a series of golden objects in a circle on the ground and above it suspended silver shapes as a kind of floating ceiling. Speaking to Visual Artists Ireland, Dwyer describes it as a “an exploded and bewitched house with a floating roof”. The website also reports that Dwyer’s work is “increasingly relevant to a younger generation of artists who have emerged in Dublin in recent years”. | ||||
| Panto Collapsar continues until 31 March 2012. | ||||
