Isabelle Rudolph: Desafinado - Art Collector

Desafinado is Isabelle Rudolph’s debut exhibition at Arc One Gallery and is comprised of a large sculpture and twelve paintings exploring foreign scenes and memory of place. Rudolph’s central sculpture Compass is an assemblage of hard rubbish; cupboards and furniture salvaged from the streets of Melbourne. This reflects Rudolph’s exploration of the potentiality of discarded items as new and appropriated architectural forms. The quirky sculpture is a colourful compass in the centre of the gallery, directing the viewer into multiple worlds and destinations through its various openings and closings.
