Loughlin is a leading Australian contemporary artist whose work is influenced by landscapes of distance, unreachable spaces where scale falls away and near and far come together. Loughlin is fascinated by the unreachable space – the view we look upon but can never be in and the feelings that resonate within us as a result of this. Her sculptures create glowing indefinable surfaces that change in appearance as they react to the surrounding light. Jessica’s combination of glass and light creates beautiful minimal work evokes sparse landscapes and provides the viewer with a quiet space for personal contemplation.
