Joshua McPherson wins $40,000 scholarship - Art Collector

14 December 2010 | Joshua McPherson has won the $40,000 AME Bale Travelling Scholarship for traditional realism and figurative art.

McPherson plans to use the scholarship to travel to western Europe, Russia and America to view the works of old masters first-hand.

A secondary $5,000 prize for works on paper was awarded to Regina Hona for a portrait titled
In Repose.

The finalists exhibition is on view at Glen Eira City Council Gallery, Melbourne until 19 December 2010.
