Julian Dashper: This is not writing - Art Collector

21 June 2011 | The late Julian Dashper is the subject of a new volume titled This is not writing.

It brings together Dashper’s writings for the first time.

Although he always insisted he was an artist not a writer, he wrote assiduously throughout his career on a range of topics. This 188-page volume collects essays, interviews, meanderings and lists.

His writing voice is calmly curious, circumspect and wryly curious.

The publication has been supported by Creative New Zealand and is co-published by Michael Lett with the support of the Chartwell Trust and the Sue Crockford Gallery.
