Karen Barbouttis wins $20,000 Adelaide Perry Prize - Art Collector

28 February 2011 | Karen Barbouttis has won the $20,000 Adelaide Perry Prize for Drawing for a work titled Weekly Reports: Drawings from the Museum of Life. The work is a series of drawings of museum specimens made directly on the pages of an old ledger book from the 1890s.

Barbouttis was selected from a field of 49 finalists including Locust Jones, Wendy Sharpe, Suzanne Archer, Yvonne Boag and Kim Buck.

This year’s judge was Mosman-based painter Kerrie Lester.
