Karen Woodbury Gallery now representing the Estate of Robert Jacks - Art Collector

A pioneer of colour field painting in Australia, Jacks was one of Australia’s most significant late modern artists.

When he returned to Australia in 1978 after living in New York for over a decade, he continued to dedicate time as a painter, sculptor and printmaker, holding more than 50 solo exhibitions and winning numerous prizes and awards. In 2006 Jacks was named an Officer of the Order of Australia.

The National Gallery of Victoria is currently showing a full scale retrospective of his work, which will run until 15 February 2015.
