Karla Marchesi wins Redland Art Awards - Art Collector

6 December 2010 | Painter Karla Marchesi is the winner of the 2010 Redland Art Awards. She wins $10,000 for a work titled I suppose it had to come to this.

Not to be confused with the
Redlands Westpac Art Prize, also announced recently, the Redland Art Awards is a biennial contemporary painting competition open to all Australian artists.

Michael Muir and Fergus Binns were also awarded cash prizes, coming second and third respectively. The people’s choice was awarded to Julie Reeves.
