Kathrin Longhurst: Fading History - Art Collector

Courtesy: the artist and Nanda Hobbs, Sydney

An exhibition featuring the works of Kathrin Longhurst.

On 18 February Kathrin Longhurst will exhibit her new masterfully constructed portrait paintings which portray her memories of a childhood behind the iron curtain in East Germany, where communist aesthetics were at odds with capitalistic values. Longhurst's works embrace contemporary feminism which defy a political and religious attitude to disallow a presentation of the female sexuality.

Exhibition opens: 6-8pm Thursday 18 February 2016
Exhibition closes: 4 March 2016
Location: Nanda Hobbs, Level 1 King Street, Sydney, NSW
