Ken Fehily appointed chairman of Melbourne Art Foundation - Art Collector

7 May 2012 | Ken Fehily has been appointed the new chairman of Melbourne Art Foundation taking over the role from Bill Nuttall.

Fehily, founder of Fehily Contemporary in Melbourne, joined the Melbourne Art Foundation board in 2009 and says “I feel very privileged to have been entrusted with the task of building on the significant achievements already made by the MAF in its primary mission, being the support of living Australian artists”.

He was also recently named deputy chair of Places Victoria by the Victorian government.

The retiring chair Bill Nuttall, who is also the director of Niagara Galleries in Melbourne, was a member of the board and curatorial committee for Melbourne Art Foundaton since 2009. He collaborated with Bronwyn Johnson at the 2010 Melbourne Art Fair and 2011 Awards Night.

“With MAF poised to embark on an exciting new era with a strong and committed Board, I feel the time is right for me to confidently and proudly step down from the Chair,” says Nuttall.
