Kudditji Kame Kngwarreye achieved international success with his signature abstract style after painting for many years in the more common style of dot painting.

Likened to the work of Mark Rothko, Kngwareye employs blocks of complementary and contrasting colours. These works move in gradients of colour or sharp contrasts, telling a narrative of connection to country. This retrospective will open at Muk Muk Fine Art Gallery before travelling to Brisbane to be showcased at The Sofitel from 19 June until 5 October 2013.
