8 November 2010 | After winning the Sulman Prize earlier this year, painter Michael Lindeman has secured another major prize purse, winning the $20,000 open category in the 2010 Fisher’s Ghost Art Award.

His winning work is part of his ongoing
Paintings, Prints & Wall Hangings series, which draws on the ubiquitous newspaper classified listing and invites the viewer to imagine the artworks being put forward for sale.

This year’s award was judged by painter John Firth-Smith, who selected Lindeman from a field including Dobell winner Suzanne Archer, Angelica Mesiti, Ken & Julia Yonetani and Elizabeth Kunoth Kngwarray.

The finalists exhibition continues at the Campbelltown Arts Centre in Sydney until 21 November 2010.
