Alcaston Gallery is delighted to present tow new exhibitions, Ltharta by the renowned Hermannsburg Potters and Abducted! by Artists from Iltja Ntjara Many Hands.

The exhibtion Ltharta by the acclaimed Hermannsburg Potters features new work depicting post-colonial activities and ceremonies created by the senior artists of Hermannsburg Potters: Judith Inkamala, Dawn Wheeler, Rahel Ungwanaka and Rona Rubuntja. It offers clients a chance to collect specially curated pieces by acclaimed master artists.

Home to the "Namatjira watercolour artists", Iltja Ntjarra Many Hands artists continue the tradition of the Hermannsburg School. With this body of work, supported by the mentorship of leading Australian artist Tony Albert, the Iltja Ntjarra Many Hands artists have juxtaposed their traditional watercolour style, and beautiful landscapes with powerful political and social statements. Abducted! highlights the diversity of subject matter and individual hands of the participating artists, including: Lenie Namatjira, Mervyn Rubuntja, Reinhold Inkamala, Gloria Naparula Pannka, and Rosabelle Namatjira.
