King Street Gallery presents works by Luke Sciberras.

“A sense of place, a feeling that can only really be understood and then expressed by spending extended periods of time in the landscape, for me that is walking, sitting, painting, resting and keenly studying every nuance of every scene I encounter.”
Scibberras, 2016

Luke Sciberras was one of the few young Australian artists to live and work continually within his depicted terrain. His frequent desert expeditions into Wilcannia, the Flinders Ranges, the Tanami desert and further afield to Gallipoli and remote China in addition to an ongoing residence in western NSW, has imbued his work with an integrity of colour, light and form.
