Margaret Olley: Home - Art Collector

Margaret Olley, The front room, Duxford Street (detail), 1985. Courtesy: Philip Bacon Galleries and Jon Linkins

This is the first exhibition to focus on Margaret Olley’s home in Duxford Street, Paddington, celebrating its extraordinary interior as inspiration. To walk into Olley’s home was like walking into a painting. With its fresh paint, rich colours and warm sentiment, the house was a true commemoration of the still life and interiors tradition in Australian art.

Exhibition closes: 1 April 2013
Location: Museum of Sydney, corner Bridge and Phillip Streets, Sydney NSW 2000
