The works showcased in Each Their Own Wilderness travel between a hybrid of fine art, literature and the complexities of contemporary life. Marna Hattingh's work is simultaneously humorous and serious, rendering it poignat and engaging. Hattingh is not interested in capturing specific portraits of people, instead focusing on the complexities of our daily lives through a socially critical lens that is spoken through the power of visual language. The works on display in Each Their Own Wilderness are inspired by a play of the same name, written in 1959 by distinguished British playwright Doris Lessing.
