MICHAEL REID LAUNCHES ART TRANSPORT SERVICE
Michael Reid launches art transport service - Art Collector
|21 March 2011 | Sydney gallerist Michael Reid has launched an art transport service, which will oversee delivery as well as hanging and installation. |
The service will be available to gallery clients as well as the wider public.
Reid will also offer storage, custom crating for shipping, plus design & construction of plinths, plan drawers, armatures and other fixtures for the display of artwork.
Reid has appointed staffer James Culkin to manage the new transport business. Culkin has recently completed a Bachelor of Design in architecture and it is expected he will be able to offer practical design advice in regards to art and the built environment.
Reid had been waiting on the delivery of a customised, long wheel base van before launching the venture, but with its arrival last week he announced the art transport service was now open for business.
