Michael Schlitz wins inaugural Rick Amor Prize - Art Collector

27 April 2011 | Michael Schlitz is the winner of the Rick Amor Prize, a new prize which has been launched by the Victorian artists colony Montsalvat. This year it is a print prize worth $10,000 but next but next year it will recognise self-portraiture and offer a purse of $20,000.

Painter Rick Amor, who is well known for his own self-portraits, is sponsoring the prize.

Schlitz was selected as the winner of the 2011 print prize by judge Kevin Lincoln for a woodcut titled
Desert Girl.

The finalists exhibition is on view at Montsalvat in Eltham, Victoria until 22 May 2011.
