Mimi Jaksic-Berger recently celebrated her 76th birthday, and continues the exploration of the lyrical abstraction genre in painting she established in the early 1960s in Sydney. Jaksic-Berger, with works held in all major state galleries of Australia, the Phillips Collection in DC and works in New York's Everson Museum, Syracuse, paints in the tradition of abstract expressionism, or action painting.

Her vibrant use of colour and manipulation of paint with over painting in selected areas provides the viewer with a labyrinth of imagery and suggestion.
Solo 35 is a tribute to her dedication and exploration in her chosen field, her career as a professional artist spanning over 50 years.
