Morten Lassen: Hyper-normalisation - Art Collector

Morten Lassen, ‘Hyper-normalisation C’, 2018. Oil and spray on linen, 180 x 180cm. Courtesy: the artist and Nanda\Hobbs, Sydney.

Danish artist Morten Lassen’s exhibition Hyper-normalisation deals with “that which we cannot see”. Data; images, words and emojis, beam throughout the world in real time, between devices in the cyberspace. The world of transition and transmission has been the driving theme in his practice for over a decade. Lassen, working as a latter-day Kandinsky, finds pictorial rhythms in the ether. He is an artist who images the unimageable. Lassen exhibits his work worldwide. In 2018 alone, his work was shown in the US, UK, Canada, Singapore, Sweden and Denmark.
