Alcaston Gallery presents Naomi Hobson's exhibition: Kanichi - On Top People.

Naomi Hobson was announced winner of The 39th Alice Arts Prize: National Contemporary Art Award for 2016. Judge and Director of the Queensland Art Gallery | Gallery for Modern Art Chris Saines said of the winning work High Tide, 2015, “it celebrates a sense of place through an all-over form of pictorial organization and an unerring painterly-ness that almost collapses Indigenous and non-Indigenous perspectives, making this work as evocative of country as it is of the linearity and pictorial rhythms of an Ian Fairweather.”
