National honours for the arts - Art Collector

|5 February 2013 | The Australia Day Honours List for 2013 recognises over 60 arts practitioners and supporters for their contribution to the nation.|
Roslyn and Anthony Oxley, co-founders and co-directors of Sydney's Roslyn Oxley9 Gallery, were awarded medals of the Order of Australia for their service to the visual arts and to the community. They were recognised for their promotion and support of Australian artists and for their support of numerous arts events and organisations including the Venice and Sydney Biennales.
Wesfarmers CEO Richard Goyder was appointed Officer of the Order of Australia for his promotion of corporate sponsorship of the arts and for distinguished service to business and the community. As Wesfarmers CEO he has forged numerous high profile and long term arts partnerships.
Alan Froud, deputy director at the National Gallery of Australia, was also acknowledged. He has been highly successful in securing sponsorship for the gallery and has overall responsibility for the management and investment of the gallery's funds. He was awarded a public service medal for outstanding public service through leadership in arts administration.
