Neon Parc signs on for another US art fair - Art Collector

27 November 2012 | Neon Parc is off to the United States for the Art Los Angeles Contemporary art fair in January. The gallery will present a solo by Rob McLeish.

It is the second time the gallery has shown McLeish’s work in the US, having previously taken the artist to the NADA art fair in Miami in 2010.

With most local galleries concentrating their energies on Asian art fairs, the interest in the US market is unusual but as director Geoff Newton explains: “A number of the artists represented by the gallery share an affinity for late modernist artists working out of the East Coast of the USA, and from ongoing dialogue with dealers and presentations at key fairs, Neon Parc has had considerable success in the USA with both curators and collectors to date.”

Art Los Angeles Contemporary attracted his attention, he says, because it “has established a small but very exciting following of galleries and collectors from all over the world”.

The fair runs from 24 to 27 January 2013.
