Drawing Godot features a series of etchings by Nicholas Harding, inspired by many hours sitting in on rehearsals of Samuel Beckett’s ‘Waiting for Godot’ by the Sydney Theatre Company. Nicholas captures the drama of the relationships unfolding on stage through skilful sketching which is then transformed into a playful series of prints. His work is represented in major public collections such as the National Gallery of Australia, National Portrait Gallery and the Art Gallery of New South Wales and in 2001 he was the recipient of the Archibald Prize for his portrait of John Bell as King Lear.
