Nick Howson: A New Land - Art Collector

A New Land investigates the strange stories of our explorers looking for the holy grail of the inland sea through the scorched red earth; to the traditional country race meeting; a dusty settler and his cattle; whalers battling huge beasts of the deep blue sea; to an Aborigine seen for the first time; and the bright feathered birds. All this is sentimentally remembered with an array of colour unbeknown in a new land. Howson catalogues the arrival and its discoveries, seen through its beautiful colours and hues.
