On the world stage: Join us at Art Basel Hong Kong - Art Collector


20 March 2013 | Art Collector has put together the ultimate tour for collectors and art lovers contemplating visiting Hong Kong in May for the 2013 Art Basel Fair. The tour promises to be an insider's guide to the highlights of the art scene in Hong Kong.

The latest exciting inclusion to the schedule is a curatorial tour of the prestigious China Club's contemporary collection by Mr Johnson Chang. Well known as one of the pioneers of Chinese contemporary art and director of HanArt Gallery, Chang helped David Tang put together the China Club's famed art collection. Additionally our small group of enthusiasts have been invited to a private party at the home of Mandy d'Abo whose Cat Street Gallery shows emerging and established artists from the region and beyond.


The confirmed itinerary so far is:
Monday 20 May 2013 - arrive in Hong Kong
Tuesday 21 May 2013 - Lunch at the China Club with a tour of the club's collection and a private party at the home of Mandy d'Abo.
Wednesday 22 May 2013 - Tour of Hong Kong galleries, lunch at Hullett House and the Art Basel Honk Kong Vernissage.
Thursday 23 May 2013 - Meet Australian and international artists and dealers at Art Basel Hong Kong. Late lunch at Sevva before tour concludes.

Lead by art & travel writer and
Art Collector contributor Helen McKenzie, you will gain exclusive behind the scenes access to the fasciniating international art world on show at Art Basel Hong Kong.
