The silence of becoming and disappearing
Hannah Bertram is currently offering 10 temporary installations ''free to a good home''. The works will be site-sensitive, and comprise layers of patterned dust and ash. Homeowners can then choose to preserve or destroy the work, or show it to an audience.
To lodge your interest in hosting a Bertram installation, send an expression of interest to Dianne Tanzer Gallery at dtanzer@ozemail.com.au. Expressions of interest should include:
  • An indication of how long you might be able to preserve the work
  • Approximate number of people who might be allowed to view the work
  • A couple of pictures of your home
  • The suburb & state where you live

Art Cologne, 21-25 April 2010
After last year's change of direction, which saw new director Daniel Hug tackle Art Cologne's dropping attendance figures by slimming down the exhibitor's list and refocusing the presentation, Art Cologne seems to have regained some standing.
The newly released exhibitor's list for 2010 most notably includes Spruth Magers - one of the galleries that complained about the fair's loss of status prior to the opening of the 2008 fair. Also taking stalls will be contemporary Asian art specialists Alexander Ochs, Swiss gallery Patricia Low and Eigen + Art from Berlin. Melbourne's Neon Parc and Auckland's Starkwhite also make an appearance on the list for 2010.
