In her second solo exhibition with Andrew Baker Art Dealer in Brisbane, Pamela See (Xue Mei-Ling) offers three bodies of work: Threadbare, Whitewash and Dependable. Born in Brisbane of Chinese-Malaysian heritage, See makes jianzh - traditional Chinese paper-cuts. The works are handmade on an small scale and are sometimes assembled to form large-scale installations. Recently, See has scaled up some of her paper-cut designs using more permanent materials such as stainless steel and perspex which are water- or laser-cut.
