Paul Davies: Switching Utopia - Art Collector

Switching Utopia will be Paul Davies' first solo exhibition at Sophie Gannon Gallery and his first Australian show since moving to Los Angeles. The mid century architecture of Los Angeles features heavily in Davies’ new paintings, including Rudolph Schindler’s residence in Mulholland Drive and the pre fab houses of Donald Wexler. These iconic houses are transformed through the use of hand cut stencils and brightly coloured tones featuring swimming pool reflections and eerie forests and re-assembled in Davies’ signature style.

Opening: 3-5pm Saturday 15 November 2014
Exhibition closes: 13 December 2014
Location: Sophie Gannon Gallery, 2 Albert Street, Richmond VIC 3121
