After leaving high school Paul Fullbrook became a freelance photographic assistant for some of Australia’s leading photographers in the areas of fashion and music. Soon after, Fullbrook started to take on his own commercial commissions for record companies, the fashion industry, including clients like Chanel, and Playboy magazine. In the early 1980s Fullbrook went to Bali for what he thought would be a two week trip to Indonesia, but ended up travelling and working throughout Europe and the United States for the next 20 years. He lived Hawaii for eight years as a big wave surfer and volcanic photographer and produced a large body of artwork.

His work has been collected by high profile celebrities including Marlin Brando, Timothy Leary, Fleetwood Mac and Martin Sheen. Fullbrook has now returned to Sydney to release his first solo exhibition in Australia.
