A formal sense of geometry, precise composition and unique tonal quality typify Peter Boggs’ paintings. Continuing with an exploration of interior themes, Peter’s recent paintings focus more directly on the mystery of light. “As with all my paintings, it is the atmospheres, the tones and the element of mystery which draws my interest – the encouragement of the imagination to that which is not visible.”

Our attention is also drawn to the precise structural composition, naturally-inspired geometry and carefully observed areas of shadow and light. Peter has held over forty five solo exhibitions in New Zealand and Australia and his work is represented in various collections including Parliament House, Kedumba Drawing Collection, Auckland City Art Gallery (New Zealand).
