12 December 2011 | Painter Peter Gardiner has been accepted into the AsiaOne section of next year’s Art HK art fair in Hong Kong.

He will show with Sydney dealer Damien Minton Gallery.

The AsiaOne section was introduced last year as a venue for solo exhibitions from artists from Asia (loosely defined as spanning Turkey to New Zealand and the Middle East to the Indian sub-continent).

While the fair has not yet released a full exhibitors list, over the past couple of weeks local galleries have been learning the status of their applications. (It is understood that the selection process has been tweaked since the fair’s change of ownership earlier this year. It is now owned by the same company that runs Art Basel and Art Basel Miami Beach.)

Last year 13 local galleries participated in Art HK. They were Grantpirrie, Gallery Barry Keldoulis, Roslyn Oxley9 Gallery, Anna Schwartz Gallery, Tolarno Galleries, Starkwhite, Tristian Koenig Gallery, Annandale Galleries, Conny Dietzschold, Dominik Mersch Gallery, Sullivan+Strumpf Fine Art, Sutton Gallery and Tim Olsen Gallery.
