Phip Murray leaves Westspace - Art Collector

28 May 2012 | After four years as director of the Melbourne artist run Westspace, Phip Murray is moving on to pursue other curatorial, academic and writing projects.

“She has taken our organisation into a completely new phase of its evolution during her tenure and we will miss her enormously,” says Dominic Redfern, chair of the Westspace board.

Key achievements include the move to a custom-built space in Melbourne’s CBD, expanding the gallery’s pool of volunteers and securing funding from the Australia Council as a key arts organisation.

Murray departs at the end of June.

Westspace is currently recruiting for a replacement. Applications close 7 June 2012 and details can be accessed via
