| 23 January 2012 | Reko Rennie will be exhibiting at the Scope Art Fair in New York with Melbourne's Dianne Tanzer Gallery + Projects. Scope, which also has branches in Miami, Basel, London and the Hamptons, aims to present "pioneering" artists and galleries, according to fair's website. Drawing on his heritage as a Kamilaroi/ Gamilaraay/Gummaroi man, Rennie is known for recreating traditional images in a contemporary context with stencils and spray paint (a reflection of his teenage love for graffiti and street art). He often uses geometric patterns and neon lights and has even worked with wallpaper. Scope New York runs 7 to 11 March 2012. | ||||
