Established Tasmanian artist and recent Glover finalist Richard Klekociuk, has produced an expansive body of coloured pencil works on pastel board. Scenes of farming and cultivation, demonstrate the aesthetic potential of agriculture; the exhibition draws our attention to the geometrical qualities of a ploughed field, tulip farm or sown crop

Klekociuk’s distinctive style offers a unique perspective into the Tasmanian landscape. Klekociuk employs interesting stylistic techniques such as colour blocking, symmetry, geometric shapes and bold lines in order to bring out the graphic characteristics in each scene. In his own words,
Landscape Précis is about "trying to say a lot with very little".
