Richard Lewer: 9 day swing - Art Collector

9 day swing draws on the year Richard Lewer spent in Western Australia researching the fly-in, fly-out mining culture. Lewer's social awareness and keen eye for extremes means the resulting body of work is a full portrait of a land whose dark history echoes to this day. 9 day swing also references the entirety of Lewer's constantly evolving practice, from early freckle-marked landscapes to brightly coloured figurative scenes.
