1 May 2013 | Renowned hyperrealist sculptor Ron Mueck has just opened a solo exhibition at the Cartier Foundation for Contemporary Art in Paris.

The exhibition features six recent works and three sculptures created specifically for the event. Made with resin, polyester and oil paint, they show the meticulously detailed and surprisingly scaled human figures that he is famous for.

Mueck was born in Melbourne in 1958 and now works out of a small studio in North London. In 2002 his sculpture
Naked Woman was acquired by the National Gallery of Australia for $800,000. The exhibition at the Cartier Foundation runs until 29 September 2013.
