SH Ervin hosts 30-year survey of Tim Storrier - Art Collector

12 September 2011 | The SH Ervin Gallery in Sydney is staging the first major retrospective of the work of painter Tim Storrier.

Elemental Reckoning spans 30 years of Storrier’s work, beginning in 1981 when Storrier began his burning rope experiments on the salt pans of Lake Mungo which have since become a hallmark of his practice.

Also included are key works such as
Pastoral domestic (cultural wind), Boys own (Flight Home Umagarlee) and The wave and garland.

Among the 55 works in the survey will be paintings, graphics and photography. The exhibition has been assembled from public galleries, private collections and the artist.

Elemental Reckoning runs from 11 November to 18 December 2011 at SH Ervin Gallery in Sydney.
