Sachiko Mardon: Piece-work and Andy Hutson: The Atrium Project - Art Collector

Sachiko Mardon, Untitled, 2012. Slip-cast ‘piece-work’

The Incinerator Gallery will host two fantastic contemporary artists in July including the latest installation from up and coming Melbourne contemporary artist Andy Hutson, and the Incinerator’s ceramicist in residence, Sachiko Mardon.

Hutson will present one of his most adventurous installations yet with In the Primordial Cave, a three dimensional primordial symbol of our unenlightened selves set 30,000 years in the past. Sachiko Mardon will explore the bleak nature of industrial processes piece-by-piece through delicate porcelain shapes in her exhibition piece-work.

Opening: 6-8pm Friday 13 July
Exhibition closes: 5 August 2012
Location: The Incinerator Gallery, 180 Holmes Road, Moonee Ponds 3039
