SafARI was founded ten years ago by Lisa Corsi and Margaret Farmer, but the genesis behind it was a question from Swiss artist Frederic Post. He was visiting Sydney for the 2004 biennale, and asked "...but what else is happening?"

Previous chosen artists include Liam Benson, Lucas Grogan, Tom Polo and Clarke Beaumont. SafARI 2014 will be held in numerous venues across Sydney and opens on 14 March 2014 to coincide with the opening weeks of the Sydney biennale.
