Destroyed Word is a global art project by Spanish artist Santiago Sierra which has traversed the world since its inception in 2010. Sierra’s travelling project commissioned the construction of giant letters from materials of local importance, then publicly and dramatically destroyed them. Each dramatic obliteration was filmed and this archival recording bears the only remaining trace of each happening.
