Sophie Gannon Gallery presents an exhibition of work by Sarah Smuts-Kennedy.

Point to Periphery is a culmination of five years of research by Smuts-Kennedy, focusing on fields of energy as they engage with conceptual thinking within art-based languages and intuition-driven modes of enquiry. This has developed in sync with the growth of her biodynamic garden near Auckland. The non-linear principles of biodynamic and Goethe agricultural theory link to her practice as she seeks to unfold how things work and are interconnected in real time in the space with the viewer. For Smuts-Kennedy, the process of generating the work is integral to the work itself, where systems, context, language and levels of consciousness function as both material and content.
