Martin Browne Contemporary presents, Ramayana on the Mekong, a new exhibition by Savanhdary Vongpoothorn. The title is taken from a 14th century Lao retelling of the Ramayana, titled the Rama Jataka or sometimes the Phra Lak Phra Lam.

The Mekong River holds special significance for the people of Laos, who regard it as a life force. Vongpoothorn is inspired by her deep spiritual connection to Buddhism, and her ancestry and familial connections to Laos.
