Selina Teece Pwerle was born in 1977 in Antarrengeny, which lies in Alyawarr country north of Utopia in Central Australia. Pwerle spent her childhood surrounded by artists and developed her own style at a young age. Her style varies from intricate dot patterns to illustrate the landscape of her country, to a bold and linear style to represent body paint design. The themes of her paintings relate to the stories from her father's country. Pwerle likes to experiment with colour and design, so she also finds inspiration from other styles from her country.
