Visual languages of ancient cultures from Europe, Asia and her home country, Australia have greatly influenced Shona Nunan’s practice.

Her work is earthy and derived from nature where she looks for the archetypal language of all cultures to express our common humanness.

Shona’s work, predominantly of figurative pieces, convey a meditative quality and confrontation of the self and her sculptural language looks towards the elemental and spiritual essence of the human being.
