Solo exhibition: Margaret Loy Pula - Art Collector

Margaret Loy Pula, Bush Potato. Acrylic on linen, 151 x 152cm.

Winner of the 2011 Paddington Art Prize, Margaret Loy Pula, from the famed Utopia region in the Northern Territory, will hold her first solo exhibition in Western Australia at Buratti Fine Art in February 2012.

Margaret comes from an incredibly distinguished artistic family. She is the daughter of Kathleen Petyarre and the mother of Abie Loy Kenamre. Both Abie and Margaret were taught to paint by Kathleen, but it is only in the last three years that Margaret has begun to show her work publicly.

Despite winning two of the country's most respected art prizes, Margaret is still in the early stages of her professional career, so collectors have a very rare opportunity to buy her work before it reaches the heights of her famous relatives.

Opening drinks: 6 - 8pm Thursday 23 February
Exhibition closes: 14 March 2012
Location: Buratti Fine Art, 222 Queen Victoria St, North Fremantle, WA
