![]() Other services include preventive conservation advice such as storage, display and handling solutions to ensure works remain in good condition at all times. For larger collections Sydney Artefacts Conservation can custom design collection databases and prepare conservation management plans for objects and sculptures housed both indoors and out. As materials conservators, the team is proficient in the preservation of traditional materials such as metals, glass, ceramic, timber, plaster and stone-based objects, as well as modern and mixed media. Director Anne Cummins is a recipient of the Gabo Trust-International Institute for Conservation Travelling Scholarship to study artist’s intentions for the ageing and conservation of contemporary sculpture. Consideration of the artist’s intent for each work is a key factor when advising clients about conserving contemporary and modern art. The team loves to travel so work is conducted in regional, interstate, international and city locations. You may have seen them working outdoors on monumental public art projects around the country. |
