SYDNEY CHARITY AUCTION SUPPORTS TROUBLED TEENS
Sydney charity auction supports troubled teens - Art Collector
|15 November 2010 | Sydney gallerist Damien Minton is wielding the gavel for a charity art auction in Sydney this Tuesday 16 November. The auction is held every two years to raise funds for WAYS, a youth centre at Bondi Beach.|
Among the works donated by artists, galleries and collectors are pieces by Nicholas Harding, Euan Macleod, Adam Hill, Lucy Culliton, Ross Laurie and Peter Sharp.
Proceeds will support the POEM program which targets teenagers who have fallen out of mainstream education.
Minton says “it is an especially good cause as WAYS has recently experienced severe Federal Government funding cuts”.
The auction will take place at 6.30pm at Ravesi’s in Bondi Beach, Sydney on 16 November 2010. An online catalogue is available www.ways.org.au.
