TarraWarra appoints new director - Art Collector

17 October 2011 | Curator and writer Victoria Lynn has been appointed director of the TarraWarra Museum of Art in Victoria. She will take up her new post in April next year.

Lynn was the curator of
Adelaide International: Apart, we are together, Adelaide Festival, 2010 and The Trickster, Gyeonggi Museum of Modern Art, Korea, 2010. In 2009 she was curator of Double Take: the Anne Landa Award for Video and New Media Arts at the Art Gallery of New South Wales, Sydney.

She previously held the post of director of creative development at the Australian Centre for the Moving Image. Prior to that, Lynn was curator of contemporary art at the Art Gallery of New South Wales.

Lynn is also the visual arts curator for the 2012 Adelaide Festival, which will take place in March next year just before she joins TarraWarra.

In the meantime, Maudie Palmer, the inaugural director of TarraWarra from 2003 to 2008, will be the acting director.
