Theodore Bruce expands into Sydney - Art Collector
|5 October 2010 | Adelaide auction house Theodore Bruce has stepped into the Sydney market, forging a partnership between auctioneers James Bruce, James Badgery and accountant Lee Stone who will act as CFO for the group. |
Badgery says the group will focus on the mid-tier market and specialise in the decorative arts, antiques, modern design and art. Sales will be held in Sydney on a quarterly basis, with the first Art on Sunday Fine Art auction scheduled for 28 November 2010.
To cement the move, Theodore Bruce has appointed Sally Hardy to act as a Sydney-based fine art specialist. Hardy was head of art at Lawsons for over 16 years until the sale of that business in 2001. Since then, she has built up her own business as a fine art valuer and consultant.
